Jogging in the old town of Salzburg
We start our six-kilometer loop at square Kapitelplatz next to Salzburg Cathedral. From there, we run softly across the central squares surrounding the cathedral, past the church of St. Peter to the Festival District. At a gallop, we take the Clemens-Holzmeister stairs next to the Felsenreitschule and swing onto the back of the city hill Mönchsberg.
We cross its green oasis in the middle of the city and jog past absolute highlights such as the Hohensalzburg Fortress and Nonnberg Abbey, the oldest monastery in the German-speaking world. Of course, we also catch our breath from time to time and inhale the magnificent views over the old town and the mountain panorama.
We´ll finish our run on the Kapitelplatz, where we had started. By the end, you'll understand why so many locals love Salzburg for its unique combination of nature and urbanity.
